Spectinomycin hydrochloride, generic name: spectinomycin for injection is a second-line drug for urethra, cervix and rectal infection caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and is mainly used for infection caused by resistant strains such as penicillin and tetracycline. Because most gonorrhea patients also have Chlamydia trachomatis infection, this product should be treated with tetracycline or doxycycline or erythromycin for 7 days.
This product is a white or off-white crystalline powder. The product is soluble in water and hardly soluble in ethanol, chloroform or ether. Specific rotation Take this product, accurately weigh it, add water to dissolve and dilute to make 100mg solution per 1ml. Determined according to law (Appendix VI E), the specific rotation is +15° to +21°.
This product is an aminoglycoside antibiotic produced by Streptomyces. It has high antibacterial activity against Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and also has good antibacterial activity against Neisseria gonorrhoeae producing β-lactamase; it has moderate antibacterial activity against many Enterobacteriaceae bacteria. Profenium and Pseudomonas aeruginosa are usually resistant to this product; strains resistant to this product are often sensitive to streptomycin, gentamicin, tobramycin and the like. The product has a good effect on Ureaplasma urealyticum and is inactive against Chlamydia trachomatis and Treponema pallidum.
